Here are four oil paintings from the end of the semester. With the final two paintings I final nailed down a lot of the thing I’ve learned this semester. It’s a good feeling.
I’m working on two more digital paintings for another class that are due tomorrow. As soon as I’m done with them I’m thinking about putting up a couple posts showing my process for them. Keep an eye open.
Working on a WWII piece in class involving FDR. Here’s a quick caricature study I did today. This guy is super difficult to caricature. This is the third one I did and the first one that remotely looks like him.
Two more recent oil paintings. I’m getting a lot better and having a lot more fun! Yay!
Here’s some more oil paintings of buildings! The 2nd one is Black Angus in Buena Park. There were crazy people there who talked to me while I was painting. I took a better picture of the first painting (that I posted last week). I think these pictures are a (mostly) decently accurate representation of what the paintings looks like in person.
Here is also my first oil painting homework assignment. It is technically the third oil painting that I started in that class, but the first one that I finished (still working on one of the first two). This is also the first one that I’ve been happy with the results. I am really enjoying this class. Looking forward to getting way better at oil painting.
Here’s my very first digital paintings ever for my digital painting class! Can you tell they are all apples? They are all done in different (digital) mediums as well. Fun!
