I bought these FiberCastell Pitt colored brush pen thingies a while back and I hardly ever use them. Time to change that!

Fun times with drawing!

Tonight was the last class of my anatomy class. :(

But it was a good class for learning and drawing! :)

Also, since this was an anatomy class and we studied a different part of the body every week, the final class tonight was to take everything we had learned and apply it to drawing a live model. So the following drawings are from that very live model I just told you about!

Here is the final drawing that I drew in class tonight just for fun:

And here are some other drawings from tonight’s class. The leg in the upper left was mostly worked on by my teacher, which is why it looks better than the others.

And here’s some drawings I made:

Doodly doodles doodling

One of my cousins got married recently in Palm Springs at a gorgeous house that they rented for the weekend. While there I pulled out my trusty little moleskine and sketched a few bits of the scenery on location.

And here’s a doodle from the other night.

A preliminary caricature sketch. Can you tell who it is?

Frazetta Study (wip)

A Frazetta study I’m currently working on side-by-side with the original.

The character’s right arm/pec area was done by my teacher to provide some help.

Wacom Tablet

This is my first time drawing with a tablet. This took me way to long for how much better the drawing could be.

Phuc is his name. He was the star of a comic I used to draw regularly a few years back at UC Santa Barbara.

Hmm, I think I need more practice/study of lighting and forms of the human head. Exercises like this one are great for noticing things about your work that you can improve upon! Yay learning!
