Sepia Test #3
March 23, 2009 | Filed Under illustration | No CommentsAnother test. This one was done in watercolor as opposed to inkwash for the last two. For the inked lines this time around I mixed a combination of brown and black inks to get the right level of dark brown I wanted. The watercolors give the benefit of being more forgiving than inkwash, which tends to dry faster and is more permanent. The watercolor allows me a longer period of wait time if I decide I want to blend it some more after letting it dry. I like the look of the inkwash better, though. The search for the right method continues!
