Unicorns Are Science!

This was a project for school.  Made using Corel Painter X.  It’s a fun program, but man is it finicky and buggy.  I had to turn it in earlier today, but I didn’t quite get to bring the background and some of the table accessories to quite the finish I would’ve liked.  Also, I totally left a big empty area at the upper right corner of the painting.  Bad composition!  There’s nothing there to move the viewer’s eye back to the rest of the painting.  Whoopsie!  I’m outta here!  Escape route?  Upper right corner!  Also, the smoke coming off everybody could be WAAAAAY better.  Lesson #1, kids: Time Management!  Lesson #2: Planning!

Oh well.  At the very least, I got a lot faster at using this program.  :D

More oily buildings

Here’s some more oil paintings of buildings!  The 2nd one is Black Angus in Buena Park.  There were crazy people there who talked to me while I was painting.  I took a better picture of the first painting (that I posted last week).  I think these pictures are a (mostly) decently accurate representation of what the paintings looks like in person.

Oil slick!

Here is also my first oil painting homework assignment. It is technically the third oil painting that I started in that class, but the first one that I finished (still working on one of the first two). This is also the first one that I’ve been happy with the results. I am really enjoying this class. Looking forward to getting way better at oil painting.

Apple-icious!

Here’s my very first digital paintings ever for my digital painting class!  Can you tell they are all apples?  They are all done in different (digital) mediums as well.  Fun!
